2020 has pushed our boundaries and forced us all to adapt and change with the time. So, if your dreams of a 2020 wedding have not gone as planned, we are here to offer you a ray of hope. Sure, it would not be the same as throwing a grand celebration with all the friends and family present (including some pesky relatives that you’d wish wouldn’t come) but it’s an intimate, memorable and meaningful way to still keep your wedding date and celebrate together.

And hey, who wouldn’t want to tell the grandkids how you celebrated love in the midst of chaos that was 2020?!

What are Micro Weddings?

Like the name suggests, Micro Weddings typically include no more than 5-20 people – The officiant, the couple, a photographer and as many guests as government restrictions allow. Minimalistic, modern, and memorable, Micro Weddings offer the perfect solution in the time of COVID-19. Described as a middle ground between an elopement and a traditional wedding, this new wave of celebrating events ensures you keep your wedding date while still having the option to throw a larger ceremony and reception when it is safe.

Planning a Micro-Wedding

Even though this seems far less stressful than putting together an actual wedding, COVID-19 hasn’t made it so easy. Keeping yourself updated with the latest official guidelines put in place and finding people who are willing to follow them can be quite the daunting task. From the officiator, the photographer and the event planner/ caterer, and the couple; each one needs to be following guidelines put in place and following sanitation procedures. Let us at en Ville take care of all that for you!

Capturing the Micro-Wedding

Pictures capture the essence of a moment that bring you back to a memorable time for years to come and hence capturing these priceless memories is essential. You can pick a photographer of your choice or get a planner to help you organize one. Alternatively, you could also request one of your guests to take a few pictures of the ceremony. This depends totally on how you envision the day and what parts of it you would like captured and how.

What we have to offer

We at en Ville want you to relax and enjoy the day. We’ve partnered with a stunning neutral venue in The Annex to provide a great space to celebrate comfortably all while following the new guidelines for public gatherings. With Packages starting at $2,000.00 they include: the officiant, the venue, a beautifully created arch and space for the ceremony, Individual champagne bottles for toasting and more individualized add-ons to craft a truly memorable Micro Wedding experience. Once you’ve booked with our Micro Wedding Specialist, let’s talk colour, design, and overall look you’d like captured, so we can customize the details and make your day a true reflection of you and your style.

Your day should be just that-about and for you and your guests. enVille Event Design and Catering– Let us cater to you!

At en Ville Event Design & Catering, we are all about a unique and personalized experience. Andrew Bowden led a team of 10 chefs on the 24th of July this year to cater a wedding at a private property in Muskoka. The lovely couple wanted a fairy tale forest wedding with a menu that would showcase the best of seasonal Canadian produce.

We provided a tasting menu, where guests went around tasting a wide range of foods. We worked closely with the couple, they had a rough idea of how they wanted the cuisine to be. We went with the couple’s favorite dishes when it came to dinner. We are delighted to have been part of the beautiful wedding.

The Event

The event was a spectacle in the middle of the woods. We prepared and served food to 70 guests. The menu was as per the couple’s request – a variety of cold hors d’oeuvres showcasing seasonal Canadian produce spread across the reception area so that guests could taste as much of the food as possible.

Cold Hors D’oeuvres

We served a total of 11 hors d’oeuvres, there was something for everyone from red to white meat and from fruits to veggies. We noted that most of the guests tried at least a couple of the starters.

We served Spit Roasted Whole Ontario Lamb, Charcoal Grilled, Flavoured with Xinjiang Spices, with homemade Uyghur Naan Bread which was baked fresh onsite, Rack of Ontario Lamb with Local Herb Crust, Monkfish & Chorizo Paella, Tom Yum Soup made of Canadian Prawns, Scallop & Baby Squid, and Sous Vide Tenderloin of Ontario Berkshire Pork, Hard Cider & Mustad Jus for pork lovers. Wedding Catering in the Middle of the Woods

At en Ville event design and catering, we love to enhance all celebrations by providing delicious and seasonal food. Michelle Jerome worked with the beautiful couple during this event to provide creative culinary presentations and a great service overall. We’re glad to have been part of the vibrant and memorable experience shared on this occasion.

When it’s summer, we know it’s the perfect time to throw a barbeque party. The team at en Ville is always ready to help you celebrate summer in style. We combine high quality ingredients with simple menu ideas to bring together the barbeque meal of your dreams. We use the best local ingredients to achieve impressive flavours.

In this event, we had 3 chefs prepare 2 hot main dishes and 3 vegan and gluten free meals. The event was held at Fork York and it catered for 185 guests.

St. Louis – Style Ribs with Chili & Spice Rub & Maple Honey BBQ Sauce

The first main dish we prepared was some St Louis- style ribs with chilli and maple sauce. It’s a very simple dish that’s perfectly seasoned to give it an amazing flavour. We added the maple honey BBQ sauce for its sweetness plus it’s always a great crowd-pleaser. We love to use the St. Louis spares because they tend to be meatier and have a better flavour than other ribs.

Lemon & Garlic Marinated Chicken Breast, Grilled Chipotle Aioli & Pico de Gallo on the side

Barbeques aren’t complete without some marinated chicken breasts. We prepared this juicy chicken marinade served with grilled Chipotle Aioli & Pico de Gallo on the side. No matter how hot it is outside, we’re sure guests can easily enjoy this tasty grilled chicken breasts. We gave the guests an opportunity to enjoy the juiciest grilled chicken and we’re glad to say that it was among the top favourite dishes at the event. We marinated it perfectly with lemon and garlic to take the taste to a whole new level. The chicken crisped up so nicely it gave guests a watery mouth.

Acorn Squash filled with Quinoa, Artichoke Hearts, Oven Dried Grape Tomato

The Quinoa stuffed with acorn squash is the perfect meatless meal for the vegan guests. We kept it plant based for the guests who don’t take meat but want to enjoy the BBQ party. We threw in some easy ingredients that are readily available locally during the summer such as the Artichoke hearts and dried grape tomatoes.

Gourmet Baked Potato Bar

These are certainly not basic baked potatoes. We went an extra mile to offer a gourmet baked potato bar to give guests some tasty delights at the BBQ. Who doesn’t love baked potatoes on a summer day while mingling with friends and family? This was one of the top favourites for vegans at the BBQ.

The Sides

We prepared some tasty salads featuring the best produce of the summer season in Ontario. These salads were great snacks for the guests to bite on as they waited for the grill. We always make use of ingredients that are available locally to keep costs low and take advantage of fresh vegetables straight from the farms. We’ve made it our habit to visit the local farms and markets to learn about different foods and serve our guests the very best.

We kept it Simple

The client really wanted to make guests feel special on the barbeque party. That’s why we opted to keep it simple with a few main dishes and some vegan/gluten free options. Plus, who said you have to offer so many side dishes in a BBQ to make it memorable? Guests can still enjoy what you have on the grill with two or three side dishes. You don’t have to go overboard and spend a lot of money on a huge assortment. Just ensure you have a reliable catering team on your side to make it even more fun and festive.

An Unforgettable BBQ

This BBQ was a huge success. The guests loved all the dishes we prepared and indulged in the amazing flavours offered at the event. One thing that contributed into making the event a success was the fact that we started planning early. Every aspect of the menu was discussed with the client to ensure all needs were met. We also customized the menu to fit the client’s needs and expectations.

We got the amazing opportunity to bring our signature catering service to the Blossom Party this year. For a party that was initiated with a simple goal of celebrating friendships after the long, cold winter, some great food really contributed to making it a success. We created a menu that is perfectly customized to the client’s tastes and preferences. We tried to incorporate a variety of flavors as a way of reflecting our passion for creative food. Great food is certainly one of life’s simple pleasures and we’re honored to be able to share it with the amazing people we met at the Blossom Party.

Below is what we served at the Blossom Party 2018

First Course

Spinach & Frisee Salad with Ontario Asparagus Boiled Egg & Shallot Sherry Vinaigrette

Spinach & Frisee Salad

We started off with this tantalizing salad which our guests absolutely loved. The spinach & frisee salad with Ontario asparagus brims freshness. Since it’s spring, there’s no better ingredient to include in your salad than the Ontario asparagus. We got fresh Ontario asparagus in local farms to incorporate in the salad and give guests the real spring vibe. This salad is crunchy and tangy plus it has a slightly bitter taste because of the frisee which makes it an easy side dish.

Boiled Egg & Shallot Sherry Vinaigrette

Adding a boiled egg to the frisee salad makes a complete classic French country dish. We know the secret to take on the spinach & frisee salad is serving it with very fresh eggs. We paired this with some tangy vinaigrette to make it pure perfection. It’s safe to say that our chefs have some few tricks up their sleeves to make every salad they prepare to turn out good and this one was the perfect example.

Second Course

Basil Marinated Steamed Salmon Fillet with Citrus Yogurt Sauce

Basil-Marinated-Steamed-Salmon-Fillet

One of the dishes we served was an elegant steamed salmon fillet with citrus yogurt sauce. This is a very ideal dish to serve in a fancy dinner party especially during spring.

Spring Pea & Bell Pepper Salad

With all the spring produce, it would be a crime not to include some spring pea and bell pepper in our menu. This is a simple salad that adds elegance to the menu.

New Potato Salad with Lemon Thyme Dressing

This delicious potato salad with lemon thyme was a big hit at the event possibly because most of the guests are gardeners who love fresh, natural ingredients in the menu.

Grilled Vegetable Tower with Portobello Mushroom, Tofu & Goat Cheese

Grilled Vegetable Tower with Portobello Mushroom, Tofu & Goat Cheese

This easy meatless dish was a top favorite for many of the guests we served not just the vegetarians. The creamy goat cheese and mushrooms form a heavenly combination that we’re pretty sure our guests enjoyed.

Catering at the Blossom Party menu

Our expert chefs used local ingredients to come up with a spectacular menu that was able to satisfy every single person who attended the event. We handpicked a menu that we knew would work exceptionally well for this party and we’re glad it did.

A major aspect that contributes to the success of your big day is the kind of wedding catering you get. This can at times be a challenge especially when you are at a new location, far from your favorite options. At times the variety of the menu can be a problem depending on the wedding caterers you choose to work with.

Luckily, you have the option to ship your desired foot item to your destinations. It saves you a lot of preparation time and you are assured of great taste thanks to the skill that goes into making them. Better still, you can bring a piece of your local taste at your wedding. Here are some of the food items you can easily ship to your destination and enjoy the delightful delicacies you desire at any location.

1. Cakes

Cakes are always at the centerpiece of any wedding. Whether it is the main cake, dessert and or wedding favors and options, you can easily get them catered for by an order. All you are looking for is an outlet with plenty of flavors, designs and a proven reputation for delivering on time and high-quality handling of the cakes during transit. You can do this or have the company catering for your wedding arrange for the shipping to your destination.

2. Chili, burgers and sauces

Quality chili and sauces always turn up any meal. You can add variety to your menu and a fun factor with hot dogs, burgers and salad options. You can also cater for the vegan guests by getting them their alternatives too. This can be used for the after-party or at the reception.

3. Barbecue delicacies

wedding catering company

Not every location may allow you the occasion of setting up a traditional barbecue. This does not mean you cannot enjoy summer’s great delicacy at your wedding. Nothing beats barbecue meals from beef, turkey, pork ribs, chicken and sausages to potatoes, beans and brisket. You can ship all these ready cooked and well packaged to meet the number of your guest. The varying packages give you room for tailoring them to suit the wedding. Shipping cost is charged based on weight and the destination’s zip code.

4. Pizza

Pizza is usually another favorite treat for after parties. If you are not getting them from the company doing wedding catering, you can easily ship them from a top outlet that provides food shipping services. Whether it is stuffed pizzas you want or a thin crust, pepperoni or spinach toppings, the options are endless.

5. Sumptuous lobster dishes

This can be served up as a pleasant surprise to your guests. Several outlets offer great lobster treats in different forms from lobster pot pies and stew to lobster rolls. You can even savor the great taste of lobster mac and cheese.

6. A range of cheese dishes

wedding catering company

There is always space for cheese on the menu. Whether it is Colby, cheddar or brick cheese, you can always have your option provided. Cheese makes a great accompaniment to any meal and drink.

Your catering plans should not be dictated and limited by location. By working with a good company you can have all the dishes and meals you wish for your wedding.
