Wedding at Steam Whistle Brewery
At en Ville event design and catering, we love to enhance all celebrations by providing delicious and seasonal food. Michelle Jerome worked with the beautiful couple during this event to provide creative culinary presentations and a great service overall. We’re glad to have been part of the vibrant and memorable experience shared on this occasion.
We paid attention to every detail and executed the menu to the client’s expectations. We came in with a goal to bring the couple’s dream to life. The wedding planning process was seamless.
The wedding Steam Whistle Brewery, an indoor space with a charming atmosphere and just the right ambience to get everyone in a party mood. We provided food for 300 guests and hence had 5 chefs and 2 chef assistants on site to prepare the required dishes. We only offered our catering services in this event.
Start with the hors d’oeuvre
We prepared 4 different types of appetizers which were served during cocktail hour at the event. The first was Mac and Cheese in a Parmesan Nest. This was certainly one of the top favourites. We also had three other additional starters which were:
- Steam Whistle Battered Curried Cauliflower Fritters served with Lemony Yoghurt Dip
- Spring Lamb Lollipops served with Minted Dijon Labneh Dip
- Chicken Fried Sliders on Buttermilk Biscuit with Louisiana Slaw and Chipotle Aioli
The event can go on for hours and the last thing you want is to starve your guests. We did some amazing summer party foods as appetizers for this wedding. The guests really enjoyed the chicken fried sliders and spring lamb lollipops which were good enough to beat the hunger pangs as they waited for the main meal.
The taco stations
We set up different interactive stations which allowed guests to customize their tacos to what they love. The tacos had an assortment of ingredients covering sweet, savoury and spicy dishes. At the Mexican duo taco station, we served fried Baja fish tacos and Grilled Vegetables tacos with mushrooms, red onions, red kidney beans, shredded carrots, red peppers and Cajun spices.
We know Italian cuisine is a versatile crowd pleaser. We offered fresh choices to give guests exactly what they craved for. The Italian featured food station had several dishes including:
- Asparagus & Sweet Pea Arancini Balls with Mozzarella, Peppers, Onion and Peas on a bed of Tomato Sauce (Arrabiata) topped with Parmesan Cheese.
- Vegetarian Flat Bread Pizza
- Penne Pasta a la Vodka
- Mezee and Mediterranean Chicken Station
- Orzo Greek Pasta Salad
We offered not just a beautiful menu but also a stunning display that complemented the rest of the event décor. We paid attention to every aspect of the presentation including the table linens and signage making sure it blends perfectly with the event’s look and feel. The food stations allowed guests to make their way around the room and choose for themselves what dishes they loved.
The dessert station
We served 3 crowd-pleasing desserts at the event.
- Maple Bourbon Pecan Pie Drizzled with Lindt Dark Chocolate & Lindt White Chocolate
- Lemon Meringue Custard Pie
- Assorted Summer Berry Pie Topped with Fresh Berries
We served delicate desserts that can be easily picked by the guests and finished in a few bites. Our desserts featured beautiful flavours like fresh berries to impress attendees with a healthy treat. The lemon meringue custard pie offered bite-sized delights which guests would enjoy as they mingle.
A few things contributed to making catering for this event successful. First, we made sure the guests always have something to munch and sip at the party by providing a diverse menu. The tasty menu stations add some fun and flavour to the entire party. The couple also added some personalization to the foods and drinks which made it very inspiring and unique. It’s always a pleasure to host these events especially when the food turns out great and everyone is satisfied with our catering service.
