Chef René fondly remembers trips with his parents as a child to the local markets in Zurich where he grew up. The sheer variety of fresh produce and those imported from around the world left him starry eyed. As he gazed at his parents preparing meals each day, in amazement, he knew then that food would always be his first love. Since then he has prepared exquisite meals in the kitchens of Mövenpick Restaurants, Four Seasons Hotel Group, Bistro 990 and finally here at en Ville. From his childhood in Zurich, he fondly remembers daily trips to the market, gazing in awe at the variety of fresh ingredients. His food passion blossomed, and that joy is with him still, every day that he prowls Toronto markets in search of the freshest and most inspiring ingredients. His long career has spanned two continents, with Mövenpick Restaurants, the Four Seasons Hotel Group, the storied Bistro 990 and finally here at enVille.
Our decades of service to some of the top Fortune 500 companies in the city have made us experts in working around dietary restrictions. Our Chefs are sticklers when it comes to adhering to the dietary needs of our clients and they make sure that every product made is to the highest standard of quality and taste. From Gluten free to Dairy free, we have something delicious for everyone.
We are sensitive about the impact we have on our environment and local businesses. We try our best to create recipes using locally sourced, seasonal produce. This helps us lessen our carbon footprint while also supporting local producers and suppliers during this time.

Then Geary Market is for you! At Geary Market we completely understand that your time is precious. Our team of seasoned Chef’s work hard to serve you prepared meals inspired by their cultural backgrounds and years of culinary experience. Pick from any of our options depending on when you want to eat.
As soon as we receive you order our Chefs start preparing your meals. Once your meals are ready, we refrigerate them to maintain freshness and our delivery team ensures it reaches you the next day at you desired location.
Our frozen meals are prepared and refrigerated instantly to preserve the freshness. When you receive our frozen meals, make sure they get tucked into the freezer and when you are ready to eat let them thaw for about 15-20 minutes before sticking them into the oven at 350° F for 20-30 minutes before serving.

Like so many others in Toronto and around the world, we at Geary Market found out real fast what it means to pivot. Geary Market was born out of the need for us to keep doing what we enjoy – sharing our love of food with people! We’ve been working in food, hospitality and events for years, and have been located on Geary Avenue in Toronto for the past two decades. When suddenly faced with the reality that COVID presented to the food and hospitality industry, we switched gears to preparing individual meals for home delivery. Shoot, we already had the infrastructure in place – a sealed commercial kitchen, a logistics and delivery team, and a keen and enthusiastic kitchen crew, eager to get back to work!
Everyone here at Geary Market has one thing in common – we love food. We love sharing new dishes and experiences, ideas we’ve had, new menu concepts, and even the home-made lasagna and slow cooked pork belly with caramelised garlic, that your mother-in-law sent you home with (thanks, Peter!). We’re all proud to have built our careers in food and hospitality, not just because we like to prepare meals and eat, but because it’s a job we really, truly enjoy going to every day! We may have mastered customer service and cooking, but we’re still learning retail! We’re chef’s and professionals first, but bear with us as we learn about running a food store!
Even before we started Geary Market, we were strong proponents of using and serving ingredients that are as seasonal and local as possible. We’ve tried to bring this same philosophy to bear when designing the prepared meal menus for Geary Market. We like to keep our selections simple, comforting, and reflective of what’s available here, in Ontario! We’ve asked our team what they love to eat, how they learned to make what they love, and to share their knowledge with us. Our menu is essentially a list of some of our favourite things!
The most important rule in catering and hospitality is to always be flexible and accommodating to every guest’s request. With this in mind, we have a ton of options available for delivery, pickup, how your meals arrive, fresh, frozen, and even immediate hot takeaway. We come from an industry where we never want to say ‘no’, and so we’ve tried to develop a system where we never have to!
We love sharing food with people! Until 2020, we prepared meals for special events and parties! Now, using our experience and connections in the industry, we’re delivering prepared meals for our local community, and all our friends in Toronto.
